Our Cabo vacation was filled with family, sun, and of course FUN! Originally my family got invited to a retirement celebration and we just decided to tag along. We stayed a total of 7 days and enjoyed the trip with a very large group of 28!

Hope you enjoy this recap video we created!

Cesar filmed all the footage and I’m so proud of him! It was awkward half the time and I wanted him to stop recording but it ended up being worth it! Next time I’m going to take the camera and force him to be in it too! Hopefully our next video will have drone footage too!

Below will be a full review of our Cabo vacation & tips!

Overall:

This was our first time staying at a hotel that was not adults only and it wasn’t bad. We traveled with family & friends and we had several kids around all the time.  They have separate pools just for adults if you don’t want any kids around too.

We love all inclusive resorts and definitely think this is a great hotel for groups, families, and even couples if you don’t mind kids.

Family portrait at the beautiful resort!

The whole group minus my parents that were eating dinner!

Food:

The buffets were pretty decent and had good quality food. The french-adults only restaurant I would pass if I were to go again. The two beach front restaurants are pretty good and of course with amazing views! The Asian cuisine restaurant that was like Benihana was amazing and is featured in the video. We had to get there super early to get a seat around the grill though as they are first come first serve!

On our last day we ate lunch at the buffet and it was great! So try drying off from the pool and going to sit down at least one day for lunch to try the food. We only ordered room service once and I would have preferred to go eat breakfast at the buffets.

Night Life:

-The night life at the hotel was mediocre. The club they have is open late and is fun if you have a bigger group or the DJ plays good music. We went every night and some nights were packed, some were very empty. The DJ liked to play the same songs every night and would cater to a small group if they were on the dance floor.

They also had a sports bar with pool table which is where we watched  the NBA games. It was a cool little hang out spot and was adults only.

They have different shows every night in their hotel theatre! My nephew loved these shows and was excited to see the dancing. They had tropical, international, and even a show just for kids. I will say that most of these were very cheesy and may not be for everyone! I think Cesar forcefully sat in one show but other then that he was at the sports bar with my brother. It was mostly my parents, nephew, and me.

On Friday they have big event styled dinner by the pool. It had a rock & roll theme with a full show and buffet styled food for everyone to enjoy.

This is a screenshot of a boomerang but it’s so darn cute!

The hotel has several bonfire pits with lounge outdoor furniture for you to hang at night time. The hotel also had a bar, coffee bar, and either tacos or crepes by the fire pits at night. This was cool because it was already after dinner and if you just wanted a little snack.

The quality of the picture is not amazing but you can see the fire pits!

Pools:

-Pools were pretty big and they had so many! The infinity pool is the only one with a swim up bar and music playing. They had different activities through out the day by the pool like water aerobics and cooking lessons. We spent almost everyday by or in the pool because my nephew wanted to be in there all day!

Spa:

-We did a couples massage as well as a facial and it was amazing!!!We started with the “Welcome home massage” which was an 80 minute massage and included: foot exfoliation, scalp massage,  and a combination of reflexology & hot stones. After we ended with the “Recovery Facial,” which was 50 minutes and included extractions. The spa experience was  top quality and would recommend for sure!

Things we did outside the hotel:

Plaza De Artesania- Craft Market:

We came here to buy souvenirs and you can haggle with the store owners for cheaper prices. You can see the plaza featured in the video as I bought some really pretty handmade beaded earrings!

Tropicana Inn Restaurant:

We walked here and I almost melted in the process. We passed by the Fire station and also saw the city town hall after. The food  was pretty good and the micheladas were bomb! They had several other stores and restaurants right down this strip too! I don’t think I would go to this part of town again as I don’t feel like we saw much.

Habaneros Grill:

We wanted to eat breakfast outside of the restaurant since we saw this really cute place called Good Vibes: Casa De Waffles. We head out early around 8:30 am thinking this breakfast place would be open and it wasn’t. I guess in Cabo breakfast starts at 10:00 am. Anyway, Habaneros Grill was next door and open. They had amazing breakfast and I ordered the Mexi-Benny, the most delicious thing ever!

Mexican version of an Eggs Benedict! 10/10

I guess it just wasn’t meant to be! It looked so cute tho!

El Arco:

We went to the Marina to ride a Catamaran to see El famoso Arco!  The boat ride is featured in our video and the waves were pretty rough when we went. Personally, I would recommend a bigger boat so that you don’t feel the waves as much. My mom was scared and wanted to go back as soon as we got footage of “El Arco.” After our 45 minute boat ride we walked around the marina and ate lunch at one of the restaurants there.

El Arco behind us!

Took off my life vest for a quick second to get a picture!

La Chatita Restaurant:

This is the restaurant at the Marina and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend coming here as everyone enjoyed the food. You can see me in the video saying 10/10 because I’m literally just savoring the food thinking about it now! I ordered the Delicious Jumbo Shrimp Platter pictured below!

We sat outside and had a beautiful breeze from the Marina

Stuffed Shrimp with crab meat, cream cheese, coconut, and wrapped with Bacon.

Served with veggies, mashed potatoes, and a sweet & sour dipping sauce!

Recommendations outside the hotel:

Typically, Cesar and always do a couple of activities/tours outside of the hotel but traveling with family was a little different. We wanted to spend quality time with everyone so we didn’t get to do as much. I did some research and linked a page with some tours, sight seeing, and activities that can appeal to every age group!

Some of them are:

-Fiesta Dinner Cruise

-ATV & Horseback riding

-Pirate ship sunset dinner & cruise

-Los Cabos Reef snorkeling cruise

Viator Tours & Attractions in Cabo

THAT’S A WRAP

Well that was our trip in full review! If I were to go to Cabo again with just Cesar we would probably stay a shorter amount of time! We would also do some more activities outside the hotel like the sunset cruises and ATV & Horseback riding tour!

Anyway, enjoy this recap video we created!

Cesar filmed all the footage and I’m so proud of him! It was awkward half the time and I wanted him to stop recording but it ended up being worth it! Next time I’m going to take the camera and force him to be in it too! Hopefully our next video will have drone footage too!

It’s been real!

XOXO,

Sounds like you guys had an amazing trip! Cabo is such a perfect summer relaxing vacation spot. Such a bummer that the waves were too big when visiting the El Arco, it looks so beautiful and I’m sure you wished you could have stayed longer! xx Jenifer
