Let's be real this blog post is extremely late but I wanted to share all her 1st birthday details with you guys! Her birthday theme was "you are more precious than jewels," which is something I saw on Pinterest and immediately fell in love.

I had only seen one other person post pictures of this theme which I loved because that just made it that much more unique! I went with a jewel tone color palette and added hints of gold as well! This party was only for both of our immediate families but we still wanted to make it special! If you are not already follow me on Instagram where I actually post way more often : https://www.instagram.com/mrs_emontano/

Backdrop

I wanted three panels, the verse in large font, and a huge balloon garland! I worked with an event stylist that helped bring my vision to life, here is their Instagram if you are located in Southern California : https://www.instagram.com/partofyourworldcreations/. I loved how the backdrop came out and the teal color really makes it pop! The balloon garland really completes the backdrop and love the babies breath that they added in!

Main Table

As mentioned the party only included both of our immediate families since this was still during the pandemic. We had a large table placed in front of the backdrop where Emma sat in the middle in her high chair, with us (her parents) on each side. Both of our parents also sat with us which made it special while we were eating.

I also ordered this custom felt banner to put on her high chair! It’s super cute and well made which was the perfect touch to her high chair! You can also keep using the banner after the party so I love that! Here is the link to order your own: https://www.instagram.com/sweetfeltdreams/

I wanted a long centerpiece for the main table since it was like two rectangle tables put together. I asked for something similar to how you would decorate a sweetheart table at a wedding!

I also had two round tables for each of our families and the table setting was so cute! I had menus printed for each plate which honestly just pulled the whole look together! I created the menus on Canva from a previous template I had found and then had them printed through Shutterfly!

Desserts

I ordered a small display cake and honestly I loved the cake! It went perfect with the backdrop and I was surprised how exact the colors matched!

I also ordered some sugar cookies and I wanted those candy rocks on them to make them look like jewels! I decided to put the verse on the cookie which actually turned out super cute!

We had a family member make the cupcakes and I just ordered teal candy rocks to place on top. Here is the link to the teal candy rocks: https://www.boonesmilltrading.com/product/blue-cotton-candy-rock-crystal-candy-3/?v=4096ee8eef7d

Smash Cake

We did have a special cake for Emma that she could eat and was toddler friendly! I liked having a separate cake made for her so I knew it wasn’t junk she was eating!

I also ordered special bibs for her so that she could have cute ones while she was eating! Here is the link for the bibs: https://rstyle.me/cz-n/fucq7jceye7

The flower headband was also perfect because I knew she wouldn’t wear a flower crown! The set I ordered actually comes with 2 other headbands so total of 3 to choose from. The exact one I ordered shows currently not available but I found a similar one that also comes with 3! Here is the link to the flower headband: https://amzn.to/3BiKiX7

More Details:

I created her one year milestone on Canva as well! I looked on Etsy and saw the possible categories which helped me choose what I wanted to include.

The cute pinata you see was actually made by mom which was actually the cutest touch!

I’m also a huge fan of chatbooks which I use to print out the pictures we took all year of Emma! We had her first year printed and set on the table for our family to look through!

Special Activity

We had a very special activity for our family and I can’t wait to show Emma when she gets older! There were notes that said “Dear Emma,” where our family could write special notes for her to read for her 18th birthday! I think a time capsule is so special and our family loved the idea of writing her a special note.

Great memories

We had such a great time celebrating Emma with our families and blessed we got to share this moment with them! If you have any specific questions about the party please feel free to reach out to me on Instagram! I literally answer every single DM and I love hearing from you guys! Thank you for always showing so much love after her parties and hope you’ll continue to follow to see more family celebrations, in style of course!

It’s been real.
