Now I know many of you are probably thinking "but the weekend is time to go out!" Well for some of you that may be true but sometimes the week can be quite exhausting! So keep reading as I literally laid out the perfect at home spa day!

Treating myself at home is probably my favorite thing to do and I make sure to do it on a consistent basis.

It reminds me that you have to take the time to pour into yourself before you fill someone else up. There are several ways you can do this like: working out, reading your favorite book, spending time outdoors, or having a movie night with your family. It’s different for everyone but a spa day at home can be both cost-effective and extremely relaxing!

So here is great guide to treat yourself at home!

Take a nice long shower or bath

This is your chance to do all those treatments you never have time for! Apply a hair mask, use an exfoliating brush/glove, add essential oils or bath salts to your bath, and maybe shave your legs?!

Here are some products I have used or similar to something I would use:

Start your at home facial

First you want to start off by making sure you have thoroughly cleansed your face and then do a light exfoliating treatment.

Here are my two favorite products I use for removing dead skin cells:

Give yourself a steam treatment

Using a steamer is the perfect way to detoxify your skin, release impurities, and clarify your skins complexion.

It’s also the perfect thing to do right before you do any masks or apply any products because it allows your skin to be more receptive. Thanks to Vanity Planet I was able to try their Aera Ionic Facial Steamer and seriously love it! I had an old facial steamer that broke down on me and I was happy to get my hands on this one!

One of the reasons I fell in love with this one was because it can be used with essential oils for a therapeutic and more relaxing experience. My husband also loves to use it when he’s congested and now we can add some eucalyptus oil to help clear his sinuses!

I do wish it was cordless but that would be my only negative about this facial steamer!

Here is the the Ionic Facial Steamer:

As you can see the facial steamer is priced at $79.99 but if you use my code “lizlaughlove” you will receive 70% off! My code can only used on the facial steamer but you can still add other items to your cart, the code will only be applied to the steamer.

If you don’t have a facial steamer and want to get a similar effect you can always put your head over a pot with hot water, and placing a towel of your head to contain the steam. I’ve personally never liked this method because it’s kind of awkward, doesn’t feel like it really gives off enough steam and it’s uncomfortable! After all it is supposed to be a relaxing time for you!

Apply a mask

After you do the steamer you are ready for a face mask! Now there is several options in this category so it’s completely up to what you prefer the most! I personally love a good jelly mask that feels really cooling or a sheet mask. If you are more of a clay mask or gel type of person then use that!

Here are some of my favorite masks:

Your normal skincare routine

I usually do this at night so I proceed with my normal night time skin care routine. I apply moisturizer, under eye cream, and of course a lip treatment mask!

Here are the products I’m currently loving:

I put two moisturizers because I switch off between the two depending on how my skin is feeling. I was gifted the Charlotte Tilbury one and it leaves my skin feeling so hydrated the next day. I have a small jar and it’s long lasting as I don’t use it every single night.

Well if you’re staying in…

If you decided to stay in tonight and treat yourself than congratulations! You definitely deserve the love you are giving yourself!!

I hope you like the recommendations I listed for you as these are actually products I use consistently.

As usual, thank you for stopping by and if you have any question you know where to reach me!

xoxo,
